Hi, I’m Jaïr—and I’ve spent most of my career helping people turn “wouldn’t it be amazing if…” into “we actually did it.” Right now, I work as Director of Fund Development for Alpha, supporting 27 national offices and teams across Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. My job? Making sure these teams have the people, resources, and connections they need so more people can explore the Christian faith through Alpha. Think of me as the guy who helps open doors, find the right partners, and turn big dreams into funded, working realities. I also sit on the boards of Alpha Germany, Alpha Austria, and Alphalife Switzerland, where I get to think alongside leaders about what’s next and how we grow in ways that are smart, sustainable, and actually exciting. In plain language: I help leaders make solid plans, find the money and people to make them happen, and cheer them on while they do. Before all this, I had a life in the music business and later worked with charities and organisations across the Netherlands, Germany, and Sweden. Those years taught me how to bring together wildly different people around one shared goal—and how to move ideas from “nice thought” to “it’s really happening” without losing the joy along the way. These days, you’ll find me on planes, in coffee shops, at conferences, cohorts, meeting rooms or around kitchen tables—listening, encouraging, asking the kind of questions that unlock something new, and helping teams take their next brave step. My heart? To help others flourish in what they’re called to do, and to make sure no one has to figure it out alone. Because the best work always happens together—preferably with good coffee and a few laughs.
